Inexpensive Anti-Aging Eye Creams You Can Make At Home

The cosmetic industry is cashing in from men and women desperately seeking the fountain of youth. In the age of people seeking all types of chemical treatments to look younger, you don't have to be old in order to care about anti-aging products. Actually, if you take care of your skin at an early age, you will have less damage later in life.

Demand for new and better skin care, has increased prices tremendously. In fact, many of the cheaper products contain only a tiny proportion of the key ingredients that their high-dollar counterparts contain. So what is a person on a budget to do? There are some great organic remedies that you probably have sitting right in your kitchen!

Healing Eye Care With Tea Bags

Soak a green, back or white tea bag in warm water and place it over your eyes. Place a cloth over the tea bag and lay back and relax for 10 minutes. The caffeine in tea helps to diminish water in the tissues around your eye. Many eye creams contain caffeine for this very reason. The only herbal tea bag that is useful in reducing dark circles round your eyes is chamomile which has anti-inflammatory properties.

Soothing Eye Cream Made With Apple and Potato

Mix a finely grated medium potato with 3-4 tablespoons of unsweetened applesauce (store brand or home-made will work). Chill this for five minutes in the refrigerator. Taking a small spoon, apply the mixture tenderly around your eyes. Lay back and put a moist cloth over your eyes. You use this once a week as a relaxing and economical way to sooth your eyes.

Eye Circle Cream Made with Vegetables

In a bowl, mix ½ cup of tomato puree with a dash of turmeric powder and a tablespoon of lemon or lime juice. Then, mix in wheat flour until a paste is formed. Carefully form the paste around your eyes. Lay back and allow the mixture to dry for ten minutes. Rinse the paste from your eyes with tepid water. Be careful not to pull at the delicate skin around your eyes.

These remedies are easy to prepare with products that are easy to find so and inexpensive to purchase. You don't have to spend a fortune on chemical products in order to enjoy the benefits of these anti-aging eye care treatments.
